Level Shoes - Sole DXB

OrcaVue was at the heart and ‘sole’ of the UAE in Dubai for one of the most prestigiously unique sneaker conventions in the world, Sole DXB. Calling it just a sneaker convention however is certainly an understatement. Sole DXB is touted as Dubai’s premier fashion and culture festival that showcases top-notch street/hip-hop culture across art, food, music, sport and style. It’s from embodying this rich culture that gives Sole DXB its solid foundation for showcasing the most coveted sneakers and sneaker brands across the globe. With so many sneaker enthusiasts wearing their best kicks at Sole DXB, OrcaVue made it possible for participants to showcase their own sneakers in slow motion 360 videos with the OrcaVue Life. Participants were asked to jump on the OrcaVue Life 360 camera rig to create a dynamic shot of their sneakers in action. Shooting at 120 fps allowed for the quick jumping action to be emphasized, and each video had a Boomerang type video effect created in post-production that gave participant’s sneakers even more attention with the added footage time. OrcaVue used one of the best DSLR cameras around, the Sony A7S II, to capture all of the slow motion 360 videos in stunning quality. A custom enclosure was designed to provide the main backdrop of participant’s videos, and also served to promote the Level shoe brand as well. Over the next 4 days OrcaVue filmed some of the world’s best sneakers while giving sneakerheads the chance to give their own best kicks the epic slow motion 360 video they so rightfully deserved.
